Only One Came Back

When Disney started announcing these live-action films of our beloved classics, I have to admit I was skeptical. How can you have a live-action version without changing the story? It was a question that had me puzzled at the start and it still puzzles me now. When I heard about the Lion King I was beyond excited. How would they do it, it's a movie starring animals not people? It would be great though. Then the cast came out and I was heart broken. The original actors and actresses are still alive and kicking but you only get James Earl Jones to come back? Don't get me wrong, I'm happy that he is but how do you replace the others? Jeremy Irons was an amazing Scar. I can't wait to see it but I'm so far beyond skeptical on it now. I mean, Beyonce...seriously? If you have the opportunity to make a classic film with original actors, I believe that you should. *image from google*

I think the remakes are great, but I still like the animated ones better. I went an seen Dumbo with my grandchildren and while the movie was good, I seen they left out a lot of things that were in the animated one.

I've seen Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast. I absolutely love them even though they're different.

In the beginning, I was apprehensive, Disney must be running out of ideas for movies, that they have to make their animation live. But I did enjoy Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Jungle Book, etcetera. I am thrilled with the Lion King. It was the perfect story for children back in the day when I was instilling values like obedience to my daughters. I love Jeremy Irons, gosh, the voice! Technology is super, and the computer-generated imagery makes movies incredible,

The complaints from the social sites is that Disney will be facing the challenge of getting their fans to see another remake of a classic story in live action instead of animation. I prefer animation since I feel better seeing the animated characters on the screen then seeing the actors in front of the camera.
