When I was young my parents doesn't allow me to do sleepovers unless I asking permission to them with a valid reason. They only allow me to do that when I a group project that I need to finish and I need to pass it immediately

When I was a kid, a bunch of us from the neighborhood would camp out in one or the other backyard now and then during the summer. When my sons were youngsters, we went camping with the Scouts so often there were only rare opportunities for sleepovers at friends houses but they did attend a few.

@tech40 I don't have kids yet but when I do I will allow sleepovers but after I have the permission of the other kid/s parents. Sleepovers are great fun and I believe children should experience it. It creates wonderful memories.

My parents never allowed me to sleepovers even though it was a group project, I was able to come to a friend's house after school and then had to go back home before night.

@Janet357 Yeah you're right but you need to counter it just in case it happened, do you know any numbers of her friend?

@tech40 well to avoid possible problems. what if one day, she would lie to you by saying she would have a sleepover in her friend's house when in fact it was somewhere else

@tech40 It's not uncommon to not to have sleepovers. SLeepover is not a 'thing' here. Or some sort of rite of passage for kids here in my country.
