I really like an average person who is in the right place at the right time who decides to engage in an act of saving the life of another person.
On Tuesday evening at the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge in Omaha Nebraska a young man named Ray Veontae Harris decided to play the role of hero when he saw a young lady who wanted to end her life by jumping off of the bridge into the Missouri River.
Ray Veontae had a quick chat with the young lady who was suffering from depression who was ready to jump off of the bridge. Ray Veontae then decided to assist the young lady by grabbing her off of the railing and bring her back to the street safe and sound.
The young lady was very appreciative of a stranger caring for her in her time of need.
Ray Veontae insists that is not a hero. However he has received emails from the family of the young lady thanking him for doing what is right.
What bothers Ray Veontae was that all of the eyewitnesses who were at the bridge decided not to step in and assist the young lady from trying to end her life.

Being modest is one way to keep a person humble.
