Day 15
Revelation 6:9
Revelation6:9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them who were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:
10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them who dwell on the earth?
11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellow servants also and their brethren, who should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.
When things go wrong, you always ask how long before you see everything turn.
Jesus opened the fifth seal and John saw the souls of those killed for the Word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. He heard them ask Jesus how long before He would avenge their blood. Jesus told them it would only be a little while and gave them white robes.
With the Tribulation started, you know a little while is a few short years.
God told Daniel how long the Tribulation would last.
Daniel 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which stands for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, everyone who shall be found written in the book.
2 And many of them who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
3 And they who be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they who turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever.
4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
5 Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river.
6 And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?
7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and swore by him who lives forever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.
8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?
9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.
11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that makes desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.
12 Blessed is he who waits, and comes to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.
13 But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.
The time spoken of in Daniel is three and a half years. Jesus gave further indication of how long it would be, and the abomination that causes desolation is at the midpoint of the Tribulation.
Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso reads, let him understand:)
16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take anything out of his house:
18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
19 And woe unto them who are with child, and to them who give suck in those days!
20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.
Those under the altar looked for an end to their suffering. Jesus comforted them with the knowledge it wouldn’t be long until everything ended and vengeance enacted against Antichrist.
As Christians, you don’t know when the Tribulation will occur, but you know it will. When it does, it will be a short time before all is fulfilled.
Let’s pray: Father, thank you that You have everything in control and You will take vengeance on those who come against You. Help me wait as You bring justice to those who suffer for the gospel of Jesus Christ. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

We're as directed here that our suffering would only stop when all would be fulfilled as being prophecied.

Not everyone suffers for the gospel, but many do who are on the mission field. Have a blessed day.
