My Meticulous Boss

We have a new "boss" (Head Teacher) now. Unlike our previous, she's very meticulous and keen on details. She wants everything to be flawless. She doesn't want any mistakes since she thinks it would boomerang to her leadership.
I like to be taught since that would make me a better person. But, these days we are bombarded with countless reports and paper works because of the upcoming school assessment. While everyone else is very busy, she's just in her office doing nothing important since she has already segregated her responsibilities to us.
To make things worse, she's always pinpointing our lapses no matter how tiny it is. I am starting to be irritated with her, but what can I do, she's my boss.
Sorry for ranting. It's just that, I am about to burst out.

Maybe a representative of the teachers should point out to her that the school ran smoothly before she came and that it will go on running smoothly even without her constant interfering. She should understand that the life of a headmaster can be very lonesome if he/she has the whole staff against him/her.
Btw, the behaviour you've desribed here can be a sign of insecurity on her part.

@Bhadine 1) I don't know who would be best to talk to her. Either the representative of the teachers or a teacher who is self-confiodent and not afraid of her.
2) Insecurity is often covered by an arrogant behaviour. It is like a shield behind which an insecure person can hide. Of course, there are also genuinely arrogant people. If you are good at talking, you can prick their arrogance. Some ironic remarks can suffice.

She needs to uplift you, not break you down. If she has criticisms she should also complement what is good!

@LindaOHio I do agree. She's good at complementing, but she's the best in criticizing.

So sorry about that. Someone should tell her that you guys aren't comfortable.

@a_jerobon Who would that be? My colleagues prefer to be silent and just follow our boss's every wish. However, they just share their sentiments whenever our boss is not around.
