Why is it so hard to get something when you really need it?
Went to Gabe's (it used to be rugged wearhouse) thinking they would have some memory foam. They didn't. Their location about 40 minutes away has some, but that's 40 minutes away.
Called Big Lots and they acted like I was crazy, they didn't have any.
Called Ollie's "Oh we have it, but we are out of stock."
Called Walmart. On hold for too long, so I hung up.
Went to ebay.com and while they have some, it's not at a price I am willing to pay.
I gave up.
Family Dollar had some at one point, but I didn't feel like going there, or even calling. That location may not even be there anymore, I don't know.
I'll try again tomorrow, and if it all else fails, I'll make my own "memory foam".
Don't you hate when you can't find something that should be so simple to find?

@ScribbledAdNauseum yeah! I can never find the gluten free food in the same places when I got tithe store I have to read labels like a 100 times for each thing.

@ShyBear88 That's annoying. They really should put those types of things together, even if they aren't on the same aisle, they should have a "gluten free" section on each aisle.

It seems like each store is just slightly different. I realize (having worked for a grocery store) that they bring in products that are in demand in that area, but it's still frustrating, even if it is understandable.

It's weird, but I feel like some things are just disappearing at the stores. Is everyone downsizing "stuff"? So we went to Target to shop and couldn't find our usual things . . . like a particular brand/type of dental floss, a particular brand of fold over sandwich bags . . . they weren't at a second Target we visited either and this time we asked an employee who checked for us . . . they no longer carried these items. Geez, since when

@ScribbledAdNauseum Ah. I've used a poofy comforter, but sometimes that can get too warm. We had a foam thing once, but I don't think it was memory foam .. . just can't remember where we got it.
Well, those particular brands had what we wanted in a product - no other brand does, is the problem. I don't think Walmart has them either

@much2say Ah hmm, well I would try to find out if there are any stores that carry them. If none do, then I'd ask Target if they could bring them back or special order them for you.

I'll take any brand of memory foam if I can get it. I might have to "redneck" it and use something else, I just want my bed to be more comfy and I can't afford a mattress at the moment.
I'm sorry you had to run around only to find out that Target no longer carried the items. Will you have to switch brands now?

No, I haven't, but thank you. I'll call around to them as well. Honestly? I was thinking if I couldn't find memory foam I'd just go to a craft store and get cotton batting!

I had that problem with finding a specific colour ball cap at Dollar Tree for Shrek. I found four at the Dollar Tree in Kernersville and assumed it would be easy to pick up two more at one of the other Dollar Trees in the area. Five stores later I gave up and ordered from Amazon.

I don't know why they make each store slightly different. I go to the Dollar Tree in Clemmons because even though the one near the mall is closer, the Clemmons store always has what I am looking for and they keep the store cleaner. The Gabe's in Kernersille is bigger than the one in Clemmons. I'd seen memory foam at the Gabe's in Kernersville before and assumed that Clemmons would have it to, but they didn't.

I am just going to say that i'll find it and it will be well worth the wait. Maybe I"ll find something better in the mean time, I'm not sure.
