1790 - The District of Columbia is established as the capital of the United States.
1935 - The first parking meter was installed in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
1907 - Orville Redenbacher was born. He was an American farmer and businessman and is well known for his line of popcorn. He died in 1995.
1967 - Will Ferrell was born. He is an American actor, comedian, producer, writer and businessman. In the mid-1990s he was known for his sketches on Saturday Night Live. Some of his movies: Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Talladega Nights: The Legend of Ricky Bobby, Step Brothers, The Other Guys, Elf, Blades of Glory and Daddy's Home.
