I love nasturtium leaves in a salad and they're so easy to grow.
Nasturtium leaves are quire peppery and you can just add a little bit to an otherwise boring salad. But, apart from the tasty leaves, they produce the most vibrant flowers. The plants are great for attracting bees and other insects into your garden and, if you leave the flowers to go to seed you can use those seeds as capers. Brilliant on a pizza!!
I've grown some nasturtiums in my front garden as they'll cheer up passers by with their bright reds, oranges and yellows but these ones are in a pot and are my main 'cropping' nasturtiums. They're not far from my kitchen door so ready to hand almost immediately.
If you don't want to eat the seeds, just keep them back and then plant them up the next year!

I have always g¿had nasturtiums in my veggie patch until Luna decided she was the sole owner of my garden. This coming spring I will plant some in the front garden, the only one I have for me.
