Why I Walk Everyday?

Walking Benefits

Walking is not only fun but... I come across this picto message about the benefits of walking while browsing my FB wall. Are you aware of these? First 3 minutes, blood pressure decreases. Then 5 minutes outside, mood improves. From 5 to 10 minutes, creative thinking improves. Walking 15 minutes after meals, blood sugar level decreases. 30 minutes after meals, it helps to lose weight (depending on walking speed). For 40 minutes, it reduces the risk of developing coronary heart disease in the elderly. And 90 minutes outside, it reduces the number of depressive thoughts. I have the reason why I walk everyday especially I am a senior citizen. What about you? picto message credits to the owner (ctto)

Those are good reasons to walk every day. I like to walk but I just don't get enough in.

There are people like that. They know what's good for they're not doing that. But if they do it on and off.

@Nakitakona I do walk when I go shopping. I don't drive. But sometimes I take the bus when I have to carry a lot.

@MALUSE It's up to you whatever is convenient for you. The point here is that you walk either short or long.

Very nice info about walking. I should practice that too. I have this app on my phone that counts my steps per day. Some says that the ideal is 10,000 steps per day but basing from the app I can only accomplish 2k+ daily and higher on weekends. I tried walking the 10k steps but I think it needs you to walk from one end to another end of a long mall and do that 10x.

I know walking is good for you, but I didn't know the exact benefits before. However, as I have trouble walking, I'll stick to swimming.

Been aware of the health benefits of walking, all those details in one, without the time frame. It does wonders especially to your outlook unlike if you just stay inside the corners of your lovely home. Have you gone out for a walk today? :)

Yes, I did. I had made 4,316 steps this morning and another one this afternoon. That will conclude the 10,000 steps.
