Do you know what they say about the third time? The third time is the charm. I got a little bit of satisfaction today. We met with the contractor and I stood by patiently while he checked out the bathroom lighting. I told him it doesn't help when you reset the breaker, it just immediately trips again. And I said we need an electrician, some wires are crossed are something of that nature. He nodded, said yes, especially when nothing is plugged in here. That is the usual cause, overload to the breaker. He then went to the breaker box, flipped the switch and walla, it tripped. We started talking and I explained the situation about how we just found out last week that the house was finished and my mom could move back in. He gave me the strangest look and I said yes, my brother and his girlfriend would not give me the code to the lockbox or give me a key when it was taken off. He said he had a bad feeling about this house from the start. We talked. He said that he felt like they were going to be the ones moving in the house and not my mom. I managed to get both his name and the girlfriend's name removed from the account. He told me that he would not answer the phone if they called. He was concerned and knew that my mom was neglected the first time he came for the initial evaluation. He mentioned the mess on the floors from the untrained dogs that my brother had in the house. Yes, you heard that right. He never cleaned up after them and it was disgusting. I tried talking to my mother about this and was shut down. This was the reason I didn't visit long, I couldn't handle it. I also found out that the house was actually ready in May. They stalled because they wanted rooms painted various colors but never brought the paint to the contractors to paint the rooms. Finally, he just told them he can't hold off any longer and cut the cord. This turned out well because my mother doesn't want all the colors and wants the house to be one color throughout. Hopefully, this gentleman will follow up with a report to Elderly Abuse. The sad thing is how long it takes them to do anything. We got more stuff out of the POD today so progress was made. I hope you all had a great day today. Photo Credit: Pixaby

Your brother didn't respect your mother. That's bad. He should respect her.

@Nakitakona All he wants to do is be in control so he can manipulate her to giving him money. And to also turn her against me. I'm fighting and will move in with her to prevent it all. He won't like living with me too.

I am glad to hear that things went well with the contractor and you dont have to worry about your brother contacting him now.

Well if he moves back in and brings the dogs, it will start all over. I do refuse to clean up after his dogs. He will put potty pads down and just leave them. Never picks them back up. Her new carpet in the bedrooms will be ruined along with other furniture.

@crazyhorseladycx I'm hoping that he will be majorly intimidated with both me and Christy there. He's in for a rude awakening either way.

I talked my hubby into going with me on Sunday afternoon. We will get the cedar robe out and hopefully my dad's tools. I think a toolbox may also disappear. My brother thought he should get ALL of my dad's things. That even goes for the little bass boat we gave my dad.
