Human tendency to underestimate..... / myLot

While heading to office, the girl sitting next to me in metro said something like- don't show your real emotions. Never show too much love, affection and care. We humans have a tendency to underestimate things that we get for free. Firstly I felt, what rubbish is she talking but after a while, I started to think about it.

Is it actually true....???

If you don't always show your emotions, it will be too late by the time you do. If those who appreciate, they will not take your feelings for granted no matter how much of it you show.

In corporate context, it is true. if we show what we feel, people around manipulate us. This applies especially if you are a man. women get a pass due to social construct. like if men cry they get used like people create scenarios to get that man out of rat race. kind of like big boss tv series. you cry you lose the race. World will literally crush you under foot and take advantage of you every step of the way.
