For such a common bird in our area.. I find it extremely hard to get good photos of Blue Jays and Cardinals for that matter.
I was lucky earlier this week when I went out at 5am to get in some nice morning and sunrise shots (which didn't turn out good) but I was able to spy a couple blue jays that for once were staying relatively still and allowing me to get a few good shots. this one was my favorite!
I don't know if I will get out much this weekend as the heat is going to be TOO HOT. But maybe if I go out very early again i can finally get that Baby Deer Photo I have bee trying to get... one of these days. I hope.. while it's still cute and has it's spots.

For a second there, I thought this was another one of JJ's posts. Very nice shot.

lovely shot :) i've one semi-cooperative blue jay here 't my place. sadly 't moulted heavily'n 'twas quite pitiful fer some time - so long i'd worried. 'twas delighted to see him the other day with those feathers finally startin' to fill'n.
oh, cardinals! i'd spend hours back't my dad's tryin' to get decent shots 'f those lil red beauties! nope, not a single one, lol.
sure hope ya were able to get that fawn.
