Virgil Garrison III is one lucky man that his two children Hunter, 12 and Julia 10, have decided to run a lemonade stand in Cape Coral Florida to raise fund for their dad to travel by train with his wife and two children to have medical treatment for cerebrospinal fluid leak (CSF) that has plagued him since 2012 when he was injured in a minor auto accident. What makes me laugh was that two kids wanted to raise money to get this, have their ears pierced. But the two children realized that their dream of getting their ears pierced will have to wait. When the story broke out, the Garrison family used the power of GoFundMe.com to raise $5,000 dollars which is good enough to have the Garrison family travel to Durham North Carolina for the doctors at the university hospital who are specialists in this field to see if they can cure Virgil of his health challenge. Since Virgil cannot take a ride on an airplane due to his medical condition, the Garrison family took a train ride to Durham.

I'm always glad to see young people learning about real life and making a difference.

What the news media will not report about the good deeds teens do these days.

I like the way these children decided to raise money for their dad to get medical treatment through their sales of lemonade.

Then they were able to raise enough money from lemonade sales for the surgery? Or did the GoFundMe take care of most of it? It's great the kids wanted to help their father and skipped getting their ears pierced to help him.

He and his wife should be proud that their children learned that it is important to put others first.
