I am having a great evening. My wife & I watched a show called "My Crazy Ex" and now we are doing our separate things. I am watching a biography of a writer named Hunter S. Thompson.
It's pretty interesting.
Hunter is pretty famous in America, but since (as a Mylotter has pointed out to me in the past) Mylot is an international site, it might be worthwhile to tell those who are clueless about Hunter a little about him.
He was a journalist, he invented his own style of journalism.
He is best known in America as a writer for Rolling Stone, though long before he wrote for them, he wrote for basically anyone that would hire him, about anything he could.
He also had some serious addiction issues, but I believe (and always have) that a person ought to ideally be known more for their successes than their sins. I have always been a man with mixed feelings about Thompson.
I respect his talent, though I'll admit I am not really a fan of a lot of the topics he chose to write on, if that makes sense.
It's best explained as kind of analogous to thinking a painting is well done/masterfully constructed, even if you're not particularly a fan of the SUBJECT of the painting.
