Moon Day (see below) Nap Day (go for it, folks!) 1969 - Apollo 11 successfully landed on the Moon. Americans Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin took the very first Moon walk. Do you remember where you were when the Moon landing was telecast? I was at home with my parents. It was quite late at night; and I was waiting, waiting, waiting for it to start. I had to go to work in the morning; and it was way past midnight if I remember correctly. Finally my mother told me that work had called and we had the day off. Thanks, mom! 1938 - Diana Rigg was born. She was an English actress famous for her role as Emma Peel in the Avengers and Olenna Tyrell in Game of Thrones (2013-2017). 1938 - Natalie Wood was born. Her birth name was Natalia Nikolaevna Zakharenko. She was an American actress. She started acting in movies when she was 4. Her first co-starring role was at the age of 8 in Miracle on 34th Street. Other famous movies: Rebel Without a Cause, West Side Story, Gypsy, Splendor in the Grass, Inside Daisy Clover, Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice. She drowned in 1981 under controversial circumstances.
