I know these kinds of stories are rare to be seen in the national news for some reason that I cannot find the answer. Just recently a World War II veteran who served in the Pacific Theater from 1942-1946 named Raymond Barton Senior had the best day of his 95 years of life when a company in Fort Worth Texas named "Roof For Vets" heard about his problem that his roof had a leak that he could not afford to repair. Employees of the company came to his home that he has been living for the last 65 years to repair the damaged roof free of charge as a way of thanking Raymond for his service in the U S military. It is nice to see companies who do free repair work for our brave men and women who have served in the U S military.

Wonderful gesture! The government should have taken care of that.

@Deepizzaguy In my country, only the high officials have good wages for the rest of their lives. It is a shame.

@marguicha I know what you mean. People seem to care about money instead of caring for one another.

That is true. However our government does not seem to help our veterans.

This kind of acts must be encouraged. Most people forget and ignore the veterans.

I agree with you since most war veterans from World War II through the current wars have been ignored or mistreated by others.

I thoight it is for a fee as what your title says. It's for free. That's good. That's a good way of expressing gratitude.
