Done...

Well, nearly done. One of our kids left recently because she is going to kindergarten. Somebody said or did something that made a light bulb go off above my head with an idea of a good-bye gift. I wasn't able to finish said gift by the child's last day, and I apologized to the grandmother, who picks the child up (they knew about the gift because I let it slip I was giving the child a gift and another of the kids told the child). Anyway, the grandmother gave me her email and told me to email her when it was done, and she would come pick it up (they only live about a block from the school). So, I just emailed the grandmother to apologize for taking so long to get the gift finished, and that 1) it was nearly done and 2) I would email her again when it was completely done. I wrote a story based on something I said to the child (yes, her name is Zoey), and illustrated/colored it (though writing is much more my forte than drawing!). Now I need to get some page protectors and binder rings to put it together. I've put aside my other projects to work on this as much as I can. So glad the drawing/coloring part is now done.
