A Spam Email From A Hacker

Philippines
July 23, 2019 9:48pm CST
I open my inbox today and I read a spam email from a hacker and told me that he knows my password and all and then he will remove all that records once I pay a ransom to him and so on and so forth.I am a poor person with nothing to pay,I even work here to earn a little cash for me to have a little income at the same time and then I will be asked to pay just for that scary messages like a bomb threat. I know it is not funny but they are crazy to do that and they targeted people who got none. How can you pay if you yourself is struggling about money also like they do.But I don't really understand why they hack and hack instead of working a decent job.If I were them they will write here instead and earn $5 dollars and start to save it.But I did not download anything when I read the message and or go to the link they provide.I am a ordinary person but I am not dumb.Have anyone of you tried this and experience this kind of emails?Have a lovely day to all.

If he were a real hacker he would use your mail or your things even more private, he is simply using "reverse psychology" will make you believe he has your data to make you feel afraid and pay what he asks, on the other hand just ignore it and remove the message, there are people who unfortunately live to deceive the humblest.

Many work harder at trying to scam people than they would at a real job.

If the mail or phone calls are from the hacker, I will hand over it to my husband. He knows how to deal with such hackers.

if the hacker really knows your passwords he should be doing something believable like using your another email to email your main email, or he should include the passwords he know in the email if he really knows it, it's just a scam don't worry about it

I guess the hacker didn't research well enough to know how much you can afford to pay them. They just do a shotgun approach in emailing someone to frighten. I am just wondering how many they do victimised in this scheme that they are really reaching out to as many email they can send to.

There are tons of scams. I just ignore them. If you do not feel safe, do change your passwords. And hackers do not want to earn money, they want to get money instantly.

Just opening that e-mail could alert him to your location. I never open those but send them straight to spam.

@janethwayne I understand, but you opened and read that e-mail before you sent it to spam and that could also alert him that you did so. I don't open spam mail. I send it straight to spam.

@janethwayne yes, so many concerns beyond one's control. The technology has advanced so swiftly that some possible consequences were not given due attention,

the odds are the hacker has nothing on you, and no idea what your password is - they'll send the same threat out to thousands of people - did they give a copy of your password to you? I expect not, as they don't have it. Report them, block and ignore them

Earlier days I use to receive mails like " I have receive this and that much of amount " and the funny thing is I should not be informed to anyone... I was lucky enough though I don't know such scam. I did not response to them. But threatening to clean up all is beyond the expectation. Why these kind of people are expected to earn easily without any effort

Maybe because they want a instant cash on hand and not any effort than to scare people.

They are people who work psychologically to see who falls, there are many weak minds that do, but it is best to ignore it.
