Someone is afraid of something happening to him or her. If your manager is angry with you, don't stay away him or her. Go and see him/her and be ready to accept the worst condition. Facing your fear is really the best way to let the fear disappear. I think the more you avoid it the more it will haunt you. When facing it you either gets traumatize because what you fear happened or it may proved to be not fearful at all. So better face them than ran away.

Yes. As the old saying goes, we just have to face each and everyday's obstacles for us to be successful in life. Running away from it won't help us to grow.
