Time flies, and all that nonsense.
I've had a birthday, so now I'm *cough*+1 years old. I've been away ... we roadtripped it down to Cornwall, via Bristol, then on to Bournemouth before ending up near Aldershot, just in time for the HOTTEST!!! day on record. Incidentally, the city of my Working Life {I'm on holidays!!!} was THE hottest on record.
Obviously the term 'on record' here refers to the UK. I know most of you have had it hotter.
I hate hot weather with a passion. I'm quite sure my ancestors were hardy cold-weather folk. Well, actually, I know they were; my DNA tells me they were all north European.
So, the second week of our roadtrip was too hot to bother with. Thankfully, we had a private lodge and a private hot tub for those few nights, and a fan and tall trees to shade our lodge. The first week was stunning, all blue seas and rugged cliffs, cider, cream teas by the dozen, drinks in the pub where they've just finished filming Rebecca {they were painting it to look modern again}, Land's End, Cornish Pasties, Gnomes and just lots of relaxation.
Oh, and pain!
How could I forget?
My left foot has gone weird. Painfully weird. Excruciatingly painfully weird. In Good News, this meant that my left knee was pain-free for most of the holiday. Except, then when my foot started to be better, my knee showed its True Colours.
I think I'm just going to have to live with the fact that my left leg should simply be chopped off. It will be a quick fix and a very simple solution. I was *this close* to buying a walking stick, one of those fancy patterned foldable ones. But I had gnomes and Celtic crosses and heart shaped clocks made of Cornish slate to buy, so ... you know ...
Anyways, I am back. Semi-back. And Q must now go to the vets.
It's raining!

@poppylicious Gosh indeed! We were all wondering if we ought to make a collection to send a wreath. Anyway I see now that that would have been a tad premature.

They think it's arthritis, in which case, I just have to live with the pain. Grrr. I've started making chocolates with CBD oil in, just to see if that helps. :)

@Poppylicious danged the luck, that wicked arthur. hope such works fer ya, hon.
have ya tried collagen? the hubs 'twas drinkin' knox gelatin (openin' packet, pourin' 'nto juice, stir real quick'n chug't down - gritty, horrid schtuff, but worked) 'ntil he decided 'twas jest too awful. i found a supplement that's 5 diff'rent sources 'f collagen. he's done most well'n such. bonus bein' good fer the skin/hair 'n nails, too.
ya might wanna do a search 'f foods that can cause/enhance inflammation'n the body, too. then try eliminatin' those from yer diet. sendin' gentle hugs ~

@crazyhorseladycx I *think* red meat causes it to play up, but I'm still testing that theory. For the last week I've been on a healthy eating plan of my own making ... no bread, limited dairy, no processed foods, for the most part. My knee is practically painless today. I need to keep a Food & Flare Diary!
