which one are you?
my parents raised me to always keep things clean and tidy and i'm trying to keep things that way, even though my table can be really messy, but i 'm fine with that kind of mess.
that's the problem sometimes.
when i was roommate with a girl who didn't care about that. not as much as i do. she could stand the plates being left on the table after we had a lunch or her clothes being all over the room, dishes could stay unwashed for 5 days and stuff like that. and i couldn't stand that, so i was always cleaning after her and that can get really annoying and stressful, just because i can't stand that mess. maybe she would clean it in few days, but i can't wait few days for it to be cleaned, so i have to do it myself IMMEDIATELY.
mess on the work table is different story and sometimes i like it that way more than when it's tidy.

Sometimes my human hosts are too neat and I find myself out away in some dark corner for an extended period of time.

I have a thing about neat and tidy. Everything in its place.

It's better to have a clean and tidy place so you can work easily and comfortable all the time
