Have you ever been tempted to go too far?

Has it ever crossed your mind to post something on MyLot that is guaranteed to get a shocked reaction, just so that you get plenty of responses?
I suppose that would only be following in the tradition of Jonathan Swift, author of Gulliver's Travels, who in 1729 published "A Modest Proposal", which purported to advocate that over-population and poverty could be overcome by cooking and eating the babies of poor people! It was not intended to be taken seriously, but - naturally enough - some people did not recognise satire when they saw it.
I get the feeling that there have been lots of social media posts that might not have expressed the true views of the authors - is that not what "fake news" is all about? Was the intention merely to stir things up and get people talking?
Has that happened on MyLot? Probably!

interesting.
I suspect since i like your post it is real news.
But if I didn't like it, it would be fake news.

Oh yes, as a matter of fact, I see it happening everyday here. Yet what one person thinks is interesting, another thinks is rubbish

Can't blame them if they want to stir things up for likes and comments.
