1914 - The first electric traffic light was installed in Cleveland, Ohio
1926 - Harry Houdini performs his greatest feat. He spent 91 minutes underwater in a sealed tank before escaping.
1930 - Neil Armstrong was born. He was an American pilot, engineer and astronaut. He was the first person to walk on the Moon. He was also a Naval aviator, test pilot and university professor.
1945 - Loni Anderson was born. She is an American actress best known for her role as Jennifer Marlowe on WKRP in Cincinnati.
