You can choose to read this one either on your feet, or on your knees. In no particular order, I am counting down ten acts that I feel worthy of induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and we are at #2: Blue Oyster Cult. And the fact that I once got a high-five from main lead vocalist Eric Bloom has no bearing on this whatsoever. Simply put, Blue Oyster Cult, which formed as The Soft White Underbelly in Long Island, New York in 1967, is one badass rock and roll band. Stoner rock, psychedelic rock, hard rock, however you want to classify them, they've been bringing it for decades, with a number of classic tunes in their catalog. All you need to do is tune in to your local Classic Rock FM and you're guaranteed to hear "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" at least once a day (sure, it's overplayed at this point, but it's still glorious as ever,) and you're likely to hear "Burnin' for You," "Godzilla," and maybe even "Cities on Flame with Rock and Roll" if you listen long enough. Blue Oyster Cult has released 14 studio albums, five live albums, 21 compilation albums, a box set, a movie soundtrack (Bad Channels,) and 32 singles, resulting in over 24 million records sold worldwide. About a bazillion rock groups cite them as a major influence, and, this is very important, they are one hell of a live band (and one of the first to incorporate lasers into their stage show.) And I once got a high-five from Eric Bloom. I'm certain that he remembers it as fondly as I do! Seriously, it's high time to set Cleveland on Flame with Rock and Roll. (Info verified by Wikipedia)

Unfortunately, no. Neither is Judas Priest, which is sinful in itself.

It's possible that you might have heard this one at some point, it was a pretty big hit.

@teamfreak16 Not familiar. I was listening to mostly contemporary Christian music in the 70s.
