Chris Farley, John Belushi, Mitch Hedberg, Robin Williams, all these guys made the world laugh, and yet at the end of the day, despite being the clowns, their pain/inner demons overwhelmed them.
It's a shame really how some of the extremely gifted often seem to also be afflicted with so much darkness.

I agree, they make us laugh and smile while they are so sad.

One of the saddest things I ever heard about Chris Farley was "Chris loved everybody, except himself" he did everything he could to make other people happy, but I'm not sure he was really happy a day in his life.

It's so ironic, isn't it?
Humans are very complex and depression is so unpredictable. I certainly don't understand all the issues, but your post reminds me that there is often much more to a person than what they show to to the public.

These people needed help; and unfortunately didn't get it or it didn't work.

I hope they would be able to overcome the sadness that they are experiencing right now. For sure it's not easy, not at all.

Wow. Nice post. Yes, I read from a quote that the person who is sad will make others laugh, for they know what a pain is.
