Day 5 Promise 5 Genesis 9:1 And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth. 2 And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moves upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered. 3 Every moving thing that lives shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things. 4 But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat. 5 And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man’s brother will I require the life of man. 6 Whoso sheds man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man. 7 And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein. Man must work to provide for his needs. God told Adam he would work by the sweat of his brow to bring forth crops to feed his family. Genesis 3:17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; 18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; 19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. (KJV) Though God commanded Adam to work the ground to provide for his needs, He also expected Adam to trust Him with the provision. After the flood God promised Noah, He would provide him with the food he needed. Not only would He provide it, He told Noah, he didn’t need to live on vegetables alone. God gave Noah all living creatures, land, fish, and birds for food. Noah needed to work the land, hunt, fish, and trap his food. As he trusted God to take care of him, God provided the food he needed. God has not rescinded His promise. As you work diligently, He will provide you with the food you need for your health and well-being. God’s promise was two-fold. He told Noah that as he worked the land and hunted his food, if any animal killed him, He would require the blood of the animal for his blood. The same for anyone who killed another person. God would require his death for the death of the person he killed. No one goes unpunished for killing another person, man or beast. Today we have court systems and prisons full of people who murdered another person. Instead of the death penalty God requires for murder, people sit in prison enjoying luxuries many people don’t enjoy with the money they earn. If man won’t follow God’s law to put a person to death who murdered another, God will. No one goes unpunished. People work hard to provide for their families. As they trust God for their provision, God will provide everything they need, even justice for murder. Let’s pray: Father, help me trust You every day for my daily needs and Your justice in time of need. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. justice should not be the work of human beings, but of God who is omnipresent everywhere, however interpreting this passage is not so easy, remember that God gave us a free and wise path.

No, it wasn't an easy passage. God told Adam he was to work. We are to work. God told Moses about the consequences of breaking God's law. Man has taken his own interpretation of justice. When a man enters eternity, they will know God's justice. Have a blessed day.

@just4him That's right, even so we can enjoy a good and just God, with much wisdom and patience, that God who even on our deathbed gives us the opportunity to repent and enter his eternal paradise, only God can provide that. And that's why I dedicate every day of my life to thank you for what we have.
