Police Shows from across the pond

I'm sort of smiling as I write this because I recall a few years ago when I used a VPN to *ahem* illegally access shows from the UK. I got a mixed bag of responses from that. Obviously people were upset since they have to pay a license fee and I was coming in and watching it for free. I think the BBC Iplayer might have fixed that by now though, as I know they were going to make it mandatory to log in... Anyway, that's not what today is about. I was on PlutoTV last night when I came across a show called "Police Interceptors". As there wasn't much in the way of ridiculousness, I assume that this was / is a legitimate show. I spent about 45 minutes watching it and quite enjoyed it. I might try to find it again as I can see it becoming a new source of amusement for me. If you know me, you know I don't watch television very often. I'm selective about what I do watch, and it seems that I watch more television during the later parts of the year. What have you watched / read / listened to lately?

We watch a lot of British police shows. And I haven't heard of that one.

It airs on Channel 4 for them. I imagine you can get the Pluto TV app as well (either on your smart tv, maybe even as an app on your phone) and that's how I watched it last night. What other British Police shows do you watch?

@paigea I've watched Father Brown before, Midsommer Murders (I can get both of these at a local thrift store, I've seen them there. Oh, and I've watched Dr. Blake Mysteries. I've seen Wallander on netflix (but of course I don't have that anymore). Brokenwood Mysteries sounds interesting. Is Brokenwood the town name? Have you watched Mrs. Fisher's murders? (I don't think I have the name quite right, but it's something like that... 1920's woman detective.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Yes, we enjoyed Miss Fisher, pretty light hearted entertainment. Brokenwood is the name of the town. And the detective is a country music fan so that is the sound track.

I've not watched much youtube this morning. I think I'll start doing my t.v. viewing towards the night time.

It's my no TV year I guess. I just watch some stuff from YouTube if I feel like it though.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I think it's also better since you can watch something for just a few minutes.

I watch more youtube than anything else. I've gone several years in a row without turning on my television at all.

We record and watch Police Interceptors because it gives us a chuckle at the stupidity and/or audacity of some British folk. Traffic Cops is quite similar, if you can get that too.

The shows I usually like to watch are on too late. I used to record them but I got rid of the service that allowed me to record them. I will have to do without one of them (unless I choose to stay up and watch them each week), but another I can watch at my boyfriend's house. I hate when shows change their scheduling.
