What if

So this has happened to me a few times already and i am sure some of you that have been here long enough may know the answer to this. I rather ask than just assume. So sometimes I have wanted to post about something but notice that someone else posts makes a similar post. Like for example when i posted about the movie "aladdin" after some other posted but what if someone posts about it first? Is it okay to have a smilar post? It's like two people asking about the same thing. Also because i wouldn't want to be accused of stealing anyone else's idea. What do you reccomend? I ask because i don't like to just assume. Thank you in advance.

That happens quite frequently, especially about things that happen on the news. It has happened to me, too, but it's okay.

i think its ok as i have seen many time people post similar types and it happened rarely from the same person as you write your own then definitely some words are different and if its related movie then maybe things comes similar which is fine according to me.

Okay. I just don't want to risk my discussion getting removed. I ask because i have stopped myself from posting certain things because of that.

This happens. I don't think there is any hard and fast rules about this, but if I notice a similar post before I post something I might not post it. It is up to you though.

Yes that is what i am afraid that it may get deleted or something because i know sometimes two can have the same idea about something like let's say a new movie or something that happened on the news.

People's minds are different so it's okay as long as it's not copying other people's work.

That is true. Some seem to get bothered by other's post not sure why. I know that not all like same but if it don't apply then let it fly.

If the content of the two posts are different and they aren't posted within a short span of time then nothing is harmful.
