Be One of Us #49 - "Lady of the 80's"

Have you figured out the gist of this particular, 50 song music countdown yet? I'm not telling, because I have faith that you will (there will be no prize, however!) The order of the songs is totally random, and we are at #49: "Lady of the 80's" by Loverboy.
Considering that, at first, not one single American record label would sign them, Calgary's Loverboy certainly had quite a run during their heyday in the 1980's. Still at it, although primarily as a live act, the band was responsible for a few arena rock fist pumpers that are still played on the radio to this day (go ahead, tell me when the last time it was that you DIDN'T hear "Working for the Weekend" at 5pm on your Friday afternoon drive home from work? I'll wait...)
Loverboy's hard-rocking 1980 debut single, "Turn Me Loose," caught the ears of international rock listeners (Top 10 in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, and #35 on the Billboard Hot 100,) and the band went on a touring frenzy to promote their self-titled debut album, opening for many of the finest hard rock groups of the day.
"Lady of the 80's" was chosen as the followup single, and, while it remains one of the band's strongest songs, chart history alone suggests that folks were a little baffled (it peaked at #43 in Canada and charted nowhere else.)
"Lady of the 80's" is, basically, a very new wave-oriented song, more reminiscent of the skinny tie scene than the macho classic rock guys. Seriously, give it a couple minor tweaks and The Cars could have made it feel right at home on Candy-O.
But, whatever. It's still one of their best. Definitely one of their coolest. I'll take it over "This Could be the Night" 10 times out of 10!

Songs with “of” in the title.
I wouldn’t want a Rush song nor a Loverboy song as my mythical prize, either.....

We have a winner! I thought a second Canadian band might throw some people off, but alas, it was in vain.

@teamfreak16 -- that's what the phlebotomist told me: "you're so vein."

I just could not get into that one. Maybe because I do not have a lady like you.

@teamfreak16 Oh wow, as long and you happy I am happy. Solo life a lot more fun and free in my biased opinion.

Nope, no lady anymore. I'm a solo act again. And it's awesome!

Sorry never heard of this before. I sort of got lost when it came to music in the 1980s but I do have some favorites.
