A Tribute To Eric Church

I like a lot of Eric Church songs, mostly though, I love his prowess as a POET. Very few people can write poetry as well as he does. He's also an original in a world of imitators. Though I have at times had bitter & harsh things to say about a lot of modern music over the years, I can count on one hand how many of Eric's songs I'm not a fan of. George Jones once asked, in a classic country hit "Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes" and I think Eric is among the artists answering that call. Eric keeps it real, honest, he also genuinely loves his fans, he's not one of those that takes them for granted. Many singers treat their fans like "just another ticket sale" but not him. He has some drive to his music, but then so did Johnny Cash & Waylon Jennings, and I don't think there's anything inherently wrong w/that.
