Photo of the morning glories out front and the tomato cage I hope they'll climb

Well, I washed the dishes in the sink. No sooner did I stick my hands in the water than I cut my finger on a glass that I did not see was broken. As I was washing the dishes, I filled the blender pitcher with sink water, took it out front and watered plants out there (the sink would keep filling as I rinsed dishes off). While out there, I noted that the morning glories were taking over the hose. I thought about buying something for them to climb, but then I went to one of the backyard sheds and found a tomato cage to use instead. I've never planted vegetables, that was Mom's thing, so... To top that off, I wonder where these dark purple MG's came from. The ones I planted by the walkway are pastel colors. I'm thinking they either "morphed" or some bird planted these from seeds of ones I've seen down the street. Anyway, they're a nice contrast.

We get a lot of "gifted" plants from the birds in the area. They like to gobble up the seeds from neighbor's gardens too. Of course some of the neighbors are quite a ways away since we live quite a ways from town. Speaking of living quite a ways from town, my sink would drain out into the yard and water the garden and the trees. That way we wouldn't have to water the Mulberry tree or the smaller bushes. We also wouldn't have the septic tank fill up so fast either. Our washer also drained so it would water our oak tree in the back yard too, along with the climbing rose bushes. It sure worked out nicely and helped keep us from having to pump out the septic tank too often. Enjoy the MG's, all of them make such a beautiful display around the yard. I love the display of a spreading plant and the flowers on the vine. Especially Morning Glories.

Yep, birds have "donated" a lot of different plants to our front and back yards over the years. I even have a tree in the backyard that suddenly started growing (assumedly bird-donated), and it'a a big shade giver now. Still not a clue what kind of tree it is--it sheds itty bitty flower petals all over the lawn, though.

Birds are good at starting little gardens in our yard. I am always finding sunflowers scattered in mine. I wish the birds who visit our yard would leave a few morning glories.
