Do you have crooked teeth? Have you ever thought of having it fixed?

I have quite a crooked teeth. I have been thinking of having it fixed though it would really cost a lot. Having braces is not only costly but so hard to maintain.
Not to mention you have to visit the dentist often, you also need to brush your teeth very well because it wont be easy brushing with those wires.
So recently i just visited a Orthodontist after thinking about having invisalign to straighten my teeth. I have issues with my teeth chipping off as well as i have an edge to edge bite. At the same time my teeth seems to be wearing off as the orthodontist mentioned.
I have finished doing my scans for a 6 month Invisalign treatment and it should take around 1 and half months for the trays to arrive.
Cost wise it would be around AUD 6k, which I would have to pay out of the pocket as my insurance does not cover any orthodontic treatments.
I know there are a few cheaper options for aligners where you could just do it at home but my teeth are not qualified for these treatments .
Have you ever/Did you ever think of having you teeth fixed?
Does it cost a lot also having it done where you are in?

I have crooked teeth and now it doesn't matter being old. My parents wanted to spare me the pain of braces.

They're not only sparing you the pain but they also sparing their pocket some pain too. I guess as long as your crooked teeth does not cause you issues that should be ok.
In my case, my teeth keeps on chipping off and keeps getting worn out possibly from the grinding.
So the dentist recommended that it is better to have it fixed because in the future it would cause me problems if it leave it as is. But then again it would cause me lots $$ to have them done.
