It a word I love and it can mean very different things to different people. To my Mom it meant never sit idle. I didn't really matter what you were doing if you were doing something. If my hands were busy sewing or crocheting I was productive. If I was reading I was productive. It I was cleaning I was productive.
Then I grew up and found out that my Mom's version of productivity was great for a child and the expectations of productivity as an adult are very different. Productivity moved to the expectations of others and it couldn't be busy work, it had to create capital (money) to be considered worthwhile or productive.
What does productivity mean to you and has it changed?
