I don't think it's the staff's fault

I saw it on the news this morning about a transgender that was dragged out by the female staff because she was heading for the women's room. And made a lot of rude comments when she refused The Janitress apologize later and her excuse was the mall doesn't have orientation and rules regarding transgenders using comfort rooms. So, she's suing the mall instead. I think we still have a long way to go and most people here were either ignorant or just still have a hard time accepting it. Have a nice day

in Thailand they have a toilet for trans people. Not because its discrimination because we know Thailand is the transcapital of the world but as protection from discrimination. Remember the transwoman who got raped by women because they want to turn her into a straight guy. Or the Transwoman who got beat up by transphobic men she tried to use the men's bathroom as she is barred from using women's bathroom.

I think that’s good if there is one given to them. They will have their own space to do their own private space where there’s no discrimination on them.

Hello @CaptAlbertWhisker Women raping transgenders? do you have news link about this? reminds of that story one time a gay was raped by a woman. It's really complicated in my opinion.

Many places here have what is marked as a "family" bathroom. These restrooms are large enough for one or at times have a changing table. It is a really complicated issue, isn't it?

@Letranknight2015 This can be used by a man or woman, or a parent needing to tend to their child.

Yeah I guess there’s not much awareness about it. But I think if there’s no existing policy about it then the janitress should have consulted about it with the management than acted her own judgement on the situation. You cannot do your own rule if there’s no clear policy about it. It’s better to ask first.

@Letranknight2015 That may be true as well but to be sure if you’re in doubt report it first with the management if the company orders you to do so at least if situation like this happens you can always claim the management ordered me to do it. Now the management can say that the janitress did it on her own and we do not tolerate it.

Hello @rsa101 There's a chance that a person can be pretending to be gay or transgender just to visit the female rest room. She did a good job on my book.

So a woman just wanted to go to the restroom and instead, she couldn't and is forced out and humiliated? Why don't people just mind their business? It is that simple. We all need to pee, we all need to rest, who even cares? Just yikes.

Many women who are kinda transphobic thinks a transwoman could be a straight man pretending to be a woman trying to peep on them.
