I just took the above photo with my camera and my old memory card. 
I don't remember what prompted me to try it, but I stuck the card in the drive, and lo and behold the last photo I took came up.
So, I took the above photo of Angel on my bed. It looks a little funky because I didn't think to turn the flash on, but it still worked.
Ugh. So I bought a new card for nothing. 
I don't know why it wouldn't work before, but I guess I'll just save the new card until something actually does go wrong with this one...

Probably throw it away when it stops working completely.
