Happy yesterday, sad today

Yesterday my husband and I went on a nice day trip to Raleigh, NC, a large city (and capital of NC) about 100 miles from us. We stopped at BoJangles for breakfast, I had their delicious ham biscuit and sweet tea, but my husband had the sausage on the gluten free bread I took with us.
We did some shopping, found a couple of things for the upcoming cruise, and of course stopped at Lowes Home Improvement. They need to put a seat somewhere for the wives to sit while we wait for the husbands to shop, like they do in the malls here. Okay, I know some women love Lowes also. 
Then we ate at one of our favorite places in Raleigh: Shanes Rib Shack. It's a very informal, rustic place with the best ribs we've ever had. Wish they had one closer.
Started home that afternoon and were caught in a horrendous thunder storm. Thank God we didn't get in an accident.
But today we're on our way to a funeral. A neighbor's mom passed away and they're having a small grave side service at their family cemetery.
So you never know. Hope y'all have a good day.

sounds a wonderful day out with the hubs. i 'gree with'n that lowe's thingy. they've lots 'f schtuff, jest not what i wanna go wanderin' 'round fer miles to see, lol. glad ya made 't home safely. those storms can be most dangerous.
my deepest condolences to yer neighbors, hon. i'm glad y'all were able to go 'n help 'em through this sad time.
