I am lying in bed, trying to go to sleep. I am at a place between being awake and being asleep, I think. I usually see people gathered somewhere and I can see them talking and gesturing. These people are too far away for me to read their lips, but they all seem to know each other.
I see these dreamlike images on the back of my eyelids. I am awake, but very relaxed and seem to be teetering on the verge of sleep, but I cant get there. I have insomnia. I've had insomnia since I was about 20.
I always wonder what these people are doing or saying. They just stand around. There is no apparent surroundings.
I wonder if this is something other people experience during sleep. It almost feels like a trance state of mind when nearing sleep. But it often still takes awhile to actually sleep.

If I remember right my dreams are mostly if not all are in technicolor lol!. Seriously I wonder what those dreams are trying to convey, is it possible that they are caused by some medication you are taking?

I don't know. I think it was before I went on hospice. I don't think they convey anything. It is just odd that they are all similar. Maybe it is due to oxygen loss to my brain at night.

I dream when I am half asleep, sometimes I remember them and sometimes I don't.

That's me. That's when they are black and white with no sound.
