The clamshell packaging was around $16.00.
The fragrance oil was around $25.00
The parasoy wax I just bought? $29.00.
So... Around $76.00. However, I used Rakuten on each of these purchases, so I'll get some cashback.
I plan to melt some of the beeswax I have with the parasoy wax just so I'm not using so much of the one. I'm going to see if I can find guidelines on how to do that.
Now it's just waiting for everything to come. The Clamshell packaging will be here today. The rest should arrive in the next week.
I'm excited to make my own wax melts / be able to gift some.
Now who wants to loan me $76.00, no interest, and no intention of ever paying it back?

I think it will be. I will be able to make a lot of wax melts with this. I've never made wax melts, but if I think I can get good enough at it, I might end up selling them on ebay.

Did you get to predict how many you'll be able to make? :)

@ScribbledAdNauseum oh wow I think you’ll be able to make a lot then. Didn’t realize you bought 10 lbs of parasoy wax hehe.

@infatuatedbby Yeah, it was the best deal I could find on ebay, plus I will get cashback from it. Everything should be here on Thursday and Friday. I bought 1 ounce each of the fragrance except for pumpkin which I bought 2 ounces of. I feel like I will need a lot more fragrance oil then that, but we will just have to see. I'll make one batch for myself and test it, if I like it, then I'll make another batch for a friend.

I'm not sure on that yet. I think I'll probably be able to make quite a bit. I mean, it's 10 lbs of parasoy wax, plus I have a half lb. of beeswax here. I need to watch a few videos / read a few tutorials on how much of the fragrance oil to use. I think I'll run out of it before I run out of the wax I need.
I have 25 clamshell packages, but I could also put the wax tarts in a mold and let them harden then pop them in a ziploc.

Orange, Dragon's Blood, Pumpkin Spice Wax, and I got one other that I can't think of at the moment. I haven't received them yet as I bought them through ebay. I am hoping the pumpkin will smell good. Sometimes things like that have it's own weird smell.

@Tampa_girl7 I am hoping so. The Dragon's Blood is a scent I have never smelled, but I think it would sort of smell like fall, we shall see.

I know few who lends money... but they charge 5%
But since you live in different country you got a good chance of getting it for free.
Since you said wax... I recalled an incident...
I had a friend who had a sample free coupon for waxing (it was shared via newspaper) ... And she had one hand waxed for free...
You know what she did? She left saying that she will get other hand done at home as it was payable for her. She went to other branch with new name and got the other hand waxed too
By the way what are these wax melts used for?

Oh, she was clever, wasn't she?
Wax melts are just fragrance tarts that you put in a wax burner. Some people describe them as a "Wickless candle"

@ScribbledAdNauseum Yeah she was! She was topper in our class too.
It is burnt only for fragnance? Wax burner... These are quite new things for me...

@ScribbledAdNauseum Why not candles? Both ways you are burning the wax only... We do get candles with fragrance though its bit costlier here as compared to normal candles...
I will check for wax burner... I will be back...
Edit So you have a electric burner... Does it give enough light? I mean can we use it as replacement to candle?
