I love Blueberries!!!

Blueberries have always been my favorite fruit there is nothing better then farm fresh Blueberries slightly cooled in a cooler or fridge, got some today when my mom stopped to get some zucchini and blackberries she is going to make zucchini bread and blackberry cobbler which i also love!
My Grandparents and my Aunt used to have berry stands during my whole childhood and early adulthood, everyday when I stopped in they would have a hellic of blueberries ready for me.
The lady we bought from today is in her 70s she used to be a competitor or my Grandparents and Aunt as they sold berries along the same stretch of highway, she is such a nice lady always asks how my Grandma is doing wish she would come down with us one day.
Grandma said the other day she wish she could get down and pick berries one more time, see she's picked berries her entire life up untill 2014 when she retired completely.

Aww that is really nice you buy your blueberries locally. I bought some blueberries at the market & they were good. I put them into my smoothies.

how fortunate to get those freshly picked! no such critters 'round these parts. berries 're jest not happy'n our climate 'n soil. i hope that'cher grandma does go down there, if'n not to pick a few berries, to 't least visit with that lovely lady a bit.

Yes, i hope she will to.... i'm trying to get her to leave the house even if just for a short drive like that, i think she would love just walking around and looking out at the berry fields.

Blue berries are lovely. My favorite way is to have them with cream. What a nice memory and - how did your grandparents like having the berry stand?

They loved it, that was there life for many, many years. My Grandpa farmed, planted and plowed the fields, he picked the berries, transported all the pickers (many of which we're his grandkids 
) and my grandma also picked, and ran the berry stands alongside her daughter my Aunt Peggy. They loved it, every one of us grandkids picked and we loved it because we got money for the summer, and we also had many amazing hispanic people working the fields to and they we're amazing people.

@chrissbergstrom That's so cool, and what nice memories, too. I'm happy you got to be a part of it. I imagine fresh berries were part of the deal, too. Ah yes. Nice way to learn about other groups of people, too

I've never been a big fan of raspberries they were always the worse berry to pick to as they got so mushy.
