Is it reasonable to believe that Jesus rose from the dead - Part 2: Did the disciples steal the body

Did the apostles Steal Jesus' Body? In Matt 28:11-15 the guards who had been stationed at Jesus' now-empty tomb panicked and ran to the chief priests. They had good reason to panic. They had failed at their given task and the penalty was to be burned alive in your own clothing. The chief priests told them to say that Jesus' disciples had stolen the body and that they would make things right with the Roman governor. Did the disciples actually steal the body? Before the crucifixion all but one of them - John - panicked and ran. Peter denied knowing Jesus three times. Is it reasonable to believe that these terrified men got enough courage and strength to mount a successful attack on the Roman Guard? No way. A Roman guard consisted of 16 well-armed men who, as mentioned above, were well-motivated to carry out their assigned task. Even if you could get enough disciples to overwhelm them, there would be casualties. There weren't any. All but one of the apostles died a horrible martyrs death. Even the one who didn't, John, was dipped in a vat of boiling oil but miraculously survived. It is quite unreasonable to believe that, if they knew the resurrection was a hoax, at least one of the twelve would have admitted it.

This is quite interesting... There is no right or wrong answer to this... Well, what if the Bible itself is a hoax? I know a lot are claiming there's a shred of evidence but who can prove that those pieces of evidence are for real.

I'll be covering that possibility in the near future.
