Day 18 Promise 20 Genesis 19:29 And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt. (KJV) When do you remember your promises? Do you remember them when it’s too late and the event is past? Or do you remember to keep your promise and everything is well with the people to whom you made the promise? God went down to Sodom and took Lot out of the city before He destroyed it. Abraham had asked God to spare the city if there were ten righteous people, yet the only people found were Lot, and his daughters, three, because even Lot’s wife looked back, and God destroyed her with the rest of the city. Three people escaped from the destruction. God kept His promise to Abraham by bringing Lot out of the cities before He destroyed it with fire and brimstone. When you make a promise, keep it and people will know you as a person of integrity. Let’s pray: Father, help me keep the promises I make.
