Hours of Conversation

Last night we got a late call and it turned into hours of conversation. It was a person I have only met once and I really enjoyed hearing about the way the sees life and the way he is keeping his family together. He is my husband's nephew (I guess mine by marriage) and he is amazing.
He taught me so much simply by being relaxed, honest and interested. I am lucky to have such a friend.

I am lucky and today I made some cookies and shipped them off. They will probably be crumbs when he gets them, but crumbs are great on ice cream!

Indeed you are lucky to have a friend in your husband nephew.
The only person who would talk to me on the phone for hours and hours was my uncle. When he called me before, he would never put the phone down until it's news time on tv or when he has to do something important. NO calls of him lasted less than an hour. But something happened between us and I blocked him on my phone and we never communicated since then.

Oh, that is sad. I am so sorry you had to block him. I guess sometimes moving on is best for everyone.

What? I am married. The person I am talking about is my "husband's" nephew, so I am his aunt. I am already happily married. He is my nephew and a great friend.

I feel very blessed. He is just an amazing person. I wish I had met him long ago. I have not even know him a year.
