My 8 year old a little made that our of your new neighbors siblings lied to her and her brothers. She came in asking me to give them cups of water. I asked why couldn’t they walk back to there own house and ask for water? She left cane back a minute a later. Mommy they said they have no water there water is broken. I put my hands on my hips and look at her and tell her I don’t believe that. It sounds like BS, tell them to walk to there house and get some water. I know they have working water and every time these two boys ask for water they put dirt in my cups and never bring them back. I have to either buy new ones or hunt them down outside. I make my kids leave there’s on the coffee table and come and get them as need. These two boys also leave trash outside and it all ends up in our yard. So I want about to give these two more stuff to disrespect more of our things. After telling my daughter they were not talking the truth. She went back out and came back saying they lied to us mommy, they have water. She had her eyes all squinted and her arms crossed. I told her I knew that already. They where being lazy and didn’t want to go home and ask. I don’t mind giving kids water and snacks if they are truly need but I’m not going to give if they are going to be rude.

It's not good that they lied and all. They shouldn't be doing that. It doesn't seem as though they are being taught manners. I wouldn't appreciate that.

It is not good that they lied. Not good that they leave a mess. At least, they know what to expect now. Maybe keep some paper cups around for other kids.

@ShyBear88 They probably lie about a lot of other stuff too. Are you sure they have running water in their place. Or, electricity for that matter?

@akalinus yes, I’m very sure of that. That fact that their kids go to our school and I can see the lights working and then using the water hoes out front tells me they have all of that plus food. The kids admitted to my daughter that they do have it.

it's sad that they lied to your daughter, especially when there are kids who do need water, and now your daughter may not be as trusting, to help out others.

It’s not the first time they have lied to here about not having working water in there house. I’ve give the kids water before and they rudely put dirt in the cups, and never brought them back like asked. They tossed like to was a piece of paper that need to put into the trash. There parents never check on them either.

One of the kids rolled there eyes at my husband after we had told them we had put our kids bikes up and one of the bigger ones way to big for our youngest got on his bike. I told my husband and he went out and told him we had just said we put them way so can you please leave the kids bikes alone and rolled his eyes but got off.

i would say that they are just kids and that it's normal for kids to have dirty hands, so it's ok if they leave dirt on your cups, but it's not okay if they don't bring them back and if they're leaving trash in your yard on purpose. maybe you should talk to their parents?

It’s not dirty hands it’s they are physically putting dirt in the cups and caking it in with the dirt so then it’s mud. They also have taken my youngest water bottle and rolled in the dirt and the dirty they are rolling it in has al kind fo dirt in from trash, to animals peeing and pooping to a child peeing under that tree where the dirt is. I’ll have to send my husband over this weekend if they cause more trouble because it’s a Hispanic family and the adults don’t seem to speak to much English. I have like zero Spanish skills outside of me saying I don’t speak it.
