I would like you to imagine yourself sitting in your living room, the television is turned on while you flip through the newspaper or a magazine. Well, I guess it was the first day on the job for the person on the other end of that line because the marines received actual tootsie rolls en masse. The troops put these tootsie rolls to good use. Those that were not eaten were used as a sort of puddy to patch up holes when necessary.
