I love you, but I'd like to slap some sense into you.

How rude is that? Don't answer, because I already know it's very very rude. It's not called for, and violence doesn't solve anything. However, it's the way I feel. I know someone who I love, but whom is very annoying. How so? It's hard to love this person sometimes because she doesn't seem to think about anyone but herself. She also doesn't seem to want to listen unless the person is telling her what she wants to hear. There is definitely something wrong with her physically, but she is also something of a hypochondriac. She's gone through doctor after doctor who tells her there is nothing wrong with her, or they aren't telling her what she wants to hear. It's hard to really know because she isn't very open with what the doctor's tell her. On top of that, she expects someone to just be available to her at short notice. She called wanting a ride to the doctor and the person said no. I'm actually pretty proud of the person for saying no, because it's not right for this lady to expect people to drop everything for her. Especially when we aren't convinced every doctor's appointment is a necessity. This is just my frustration as of late. Something I had to get off my chest. Like I said, I love this person, but she makes it hard to do sometimes.

Sure, she goes to the doctor but she doesn't listen to them when they tell her things either. I don't like doctors, but if I go, I'm going to listen to what they have to tell me. I'm glad you don't know any hypochondriacs, this one makes me want to throttle her.

There's always one person you both love and want to throttle at the same time.

You either accept her as she is or you move on. I´m sorry to tell you this (fruit of my experience) but people don´t change much.

No, I know they don't change much. I love her though (she's family) and I wish she'd change. I know she does have things actually wrong with her, but so much more that I believe she's putting on herself.

I’m trying not to laugh but just waiting I’ll explain why. I love my husband, but some days he does make me want to hit him. One he can be a pain in my tush.also even when he makes me mad if I do hit him it’s always a playful kind of hit. It’s our weird way of flirting with each other. I’ve never hit him hit him. Once maybe in my sleep but that doesn’t count.

@ScribbledAdNauseum yes, I’ve never hit someone because I’m made I wouldn’t say I would hit them unless I mean it playfully.

@ShyBear88 I can't lie, I have hit someone because I was mad, but that was many many, many many many years ago.

I can't stand people like that. I removed alot of old friends from my life so i don't deal with that anymore.

Well, unfortunately I am related to this person.I love her, but I really want to yell at her. Neither yelling or hitting her would do a bit of good.

@Ladanger From experience, this person will not actually learn. She just goes into self pity mode and "everybody hates me" mode.

@ScribbledAdNauseum ok in that case i understand. The only way for a person to learn is to stop giving them what they want.

Very much so. She will not listen to the doctor. I can understand part of her frustrations but she isn't doing anything to help herself either.
