being competitive

do you consider yourself competitive?
i usually don't think about this, because i usually don't have to try much to be good in something (thank God). i used to go to judo tournaments and piano competitions and of course i always did my best and wanted to win and i could usually make it to top 3 and i was happy with each place, even though some people wouldn't be satisfied with 2nd or 3rd place.
i'm not trying to get all the points on the tests and i'm happy if i'm among those who are at the top 5. is this a bad thing?
i know there are some people who are always trying to do better than everyone else and i don't think that's a bad thing, but it can be annoying sometimes.

i think it's good that you always give your best, but don't make a big deal out of it whatever place or prize you get. maybe others get that way (overcompetitive) because of pressure from their parents?

@hereandthere my choices. they were always bothered with "judo and piano combination" and they thought that i have too many responsibilities, because those weren't the only activities i had.

yeah, that's possible. my parents actually wanted me to stop with these activities, because i was never home, but they supported me and they're still supporting me with everything i do.

Only in a few things. For example, like in a debate or something. In debates I always try hard to strengthen my argument
