Possible cellulitis

I made a post about getting a chemical burn from hair removing cream. Since then I have incurred a serious closed wound on that same leg. My left leg had an involuntary kick and it struck the edge of the heavy door in my room. The injury deformed the shape of the soft tissue there deep inside. A big goose egg popped up where the deformity was. It's been that way for days now. The nurses have been putting cream on it and putting a pressure bandage on there.
Last night at the treatment, we saw that it was swollen and red. Today it is very warm to touch also. My whole body feels hot, but my skin doesn't feel feverish.
The doctor is away today because of the holiday. Tomorrow the nurse will call. If I get worse, they will just send me to the ER. My BP is up, but no temp yet.

The nurses thought it was serious. They had watched the redness over a 3 day period. It was getting more red down and up my leg. This morning I looked at it and it was less red which indicated to me that my immune system was working on it.
My doc said it was not infected, but it is inflamed.

Oh no! This sounds very painful and serious as well. I hope you can get proper treatment and soon.

It is very painful, but I have an update. My doctor came and examined my leg and he said it is inflamed but not infected.

I am so sorry to read this! It is probably some kind of infection. Have they put you on antibiotics?

The doc came to see me. He said there is no infection. He said it will take a couple of weeks to go back to normal but I didn't need ABTs.
