Day 33
Promise 36
Exodus 7:1 And the LORD said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.
2 Thou shalt speak all that I command thee: and Aaron thy brother shall speak unto Pharaoh, that he send the children of Israel out of his land.
3 And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.
4 But Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you, that I may lay my hand upon Egypt, and bring forth mine armies, and my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.
5 And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I stretch forth mine hand upon Egypt, and bring out the children of Israel from among them.
6 And Moses and Aaron did as the LORD commanded them, so did they.
7 And Moses was fourscore years old, and Aaron fourscore and three years old, when they spoke unto Pharaoh.
Have you wondered why things happen the way they do? You plan and strategize; you get everything ready, and then nothing goes as planned.
God told Moses and Aaron to present themselves before Pharaoh and demand he let Israel leave Egypt. However, Moses told God that nobody among the Israelites listened to him and why should Pharaoh. God told Moses it was His plan to bring Israel out of Egypt and He would do it with many signs and judgments against Egypt.
It’s God’s plan for your life, not yours that will prevail. Whether or not you are a Christian, God’s will, will prevail and you will see His glory in how He brings about the events that shape your life.
God told Moses He would bring His judgments against Egypt. He would show His people the signs that would bring about their freedom from slavery. They only needed to trust Him. Pharaoh didn’t need to believe in God to be part of God’s plan.
God told Abraham His people would leave bondage in 400 years. It was time for God to keep His promise to Abraham and bring His people out of bondage.
Genesis 15:13 And he said unto Abram, “Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;
14 And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.” (KJV)
Galatians 3:16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He said not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.
18 For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.
God has a plan for your life and He will receive the glory when He brings about His plan, just as He received the glory when He fulfilled His promise to Abraham to bring His people out of bondage.
Let’s pray: Father, let Your will be done in my life. Let Your plans for me prevail over my plans and let me see Your glory in all You purposed for me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

When I pray for something I always ask God if it is his will.
