49 cent movie rental with vudu

United States
September 5, 2019 2:29pm CST
I decided to create a VUDU account. They have a 49 cents movie rental offer going on now, but I am having a hard time deciding what to rent. I am not sure if this expires soon or not, but I need to figure out what to watch. Right now I am leaning more towards the movie Ma which is a thriller. I'm not much of a movie / tv person, so it takes me longer than usual to decide on anything. I want to rent something I haven't seen before though. That La Llorna movie is also available with the 49 cent deal... What have you been watching lately? Do you vudu?

@ScribbledAdNauseum I watched MA a few nights ago. Was pretty good! Hope you enjoy it. I watched World War Z tonight for the first time. Right now I'm just watching Seinfeld. I've never heard of vudu before.

Another 'lotter told me about it. If I'm not mistaken, Vudu is practically walmart's video service. I think you can get vudu codes if you buy dvd's from walmart. I did decide on Ma, but I haven't watched it yet. Thinking I might watch it after dinner. I was told that Ma was a good movie.

@ScribbledAdNauseum ah ok. We don't have Walmart's here. We do have other rental machines but I've never used them before. It was a good movie. I hope you like it too.

@VivaLaDani13 Ah, I forget that you are in Australia. I know the UK has ASDA, which is just walmart with a different name. Australia doesn't have ASDA?

I watched a couple of free movies on Vudu. The best use I found for it is to check if a VPN IP is already detected as pertaining to a VPN. They are pretty good now to detect strangers.

@ScribbledAdNauseum It is perhaps not rooted at all, but having its own OS it might take months, I would not even consider it.

@topffer I do not think I will consider it. I like it as it is.

Well I guess that is one way to use it. I have a VPN myself, but I haven't even tried to see if I could download it to my Roku. I don't know if a roku can be jailbroken like a firestick can.

I do not rent any movies. I watch my own or just buy the movie.

I don't buy a movie unless I know that I would want to watch it over and over again. I also only buy digitally now.

I'm not much for movies or television either. So if I paid .49 for a rental, I'd really be picky!

I hate to admit that trying to decide on a movie was causing me anxiety last night. I finally just turned the television off and decided to figure it out today. I went with Ma. Mostly because I've been told that it was a good movie. I almost rented a movie that I've seen a million times before but I didn't want to do that.

@kobesbuddy I sold off almost all the dvds that were here. I just don't have the use for them. I prefer to go digital.

49 cents? That's a great deal...

Only valid for one purchase, and only a select number of movies qualify for the price. I ended up picking out the movie "ma"

Is there a monthly premium you have to pay?

You pay for what you rent or buy, so signing up is free.

There are a handful of titles to choose from for 49 cent price. Even a few of the more recent ones, but I decided on Ma.

We joke that my husband spends more time trying to choose something to watch than he actually spends watching movies.

That is most definitely me. Another reason why I got rid of all of my subscription services, because I can never choose anything. Vudu has free movies which is the only reason I downloaded it, but I had to get an account and ended up with the 49 cent movie offer.
