It was my daughter,s report card day in school this afternoon. I decided to have my under time at work so I can attend to my daughter's needs in school. She is already Grade 12
Before the card distribution, the school held a short briefing for parents as reminders for the grading system, and other school related activities. After the short meeting, parents were told to go the class rooms for the card distribution.
I talked to my daughter before heading to the classroom and told me that she was out of the honor rolls this time and she did not want me to expect. I just told her that its fine with me and dad.
Before the card was given, the class adviser told us that he was about to distribute merit to those who topped the class and he would start with the lowest to the highest. It was almost done when only one merit was not called. I almost jumped for joy when her name was called because she topped her class! When I looked at her, she just winked at me and threw that naughty smile. We both received her merit and her report card.
Such a proud mom over here!

Congratutlations on that surprise you got on your daughter. I also have my son who is in Grade 12 too. Although he's not an achiever but he belongs to the top section in his batch. He just finish taking his UPCAT last Saturday and just praying that he makes it there so we can have an affordable but reliable college he can attend to.
